Link Opportunities
Review and manage discovered internal linking opportunities
Understanding Opportunities
After analysis, WPLink presents a list of internal linking opportunities. Each opportunity represents a place in your content where you could add a relevant internal link.
Example Opportunity
Opportunity Details
Source & Target Posts
The source post is where the link will be added. The target post is what will be linked to. Click on either to open them in your browser.
Anchor Text & Context
The anchor text is the exact phrase that will become the link. Hover over the context to see more surrounding text and verify the link makes sense in context.
Relevance Score
A score from 0-100 indicating how relevant the link is. Higher scores mean stronger semantic connection between the source context and target content.
Filtering Opportunities
Use filters to focus on specific opportunities:
Reviewing Opportunities
For each opportunity, consider:
- Does the anchor text read naturally in the sentence?
- Is the target post genuinely relevant to the source context?
- Would a reader find this link helpful?
- Does this duplicate an existing link in the post?
Marks the opportunity as approved. You can then apply it individually or use batch apply.
Marks the opportunity as rejected. You can filter these out from your list.
Best Practices
Focus on high scores first
Opportunities with scores above 75 are usually the most valuable. Start there.
Review in batches
Don't try to review everything at once. Process 10-20 opportunities at a time.
Check context thoroughly
Always hover or click to see the full context. Make sure the link fits naturally.
Don't over-link
Aim for 2-5 internal links per 1000 words. Too many links can hurt readability and SEO.
